Ronnie Ray Buchanan
   Funeral services for Ronnie Ray Buchanan, 52, of Philipp, Miss., are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Holcomb Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin Tribble officiating. Burial will follow in Tippo Cemetery.
   Visitation is Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at Holcomb Baptist Church.
   Ronnie died Monday, March 10, 2014, at his home.
   He was born on Oct. 9, 1961, and was the son of Robert Bailey Buchanan and Winnie Wyatt Buchanan of Philipp.
   Ronnie was self-employed as a paint contractor. He was a member of the Philipp Presbyterian Church.  
   He is survived by his wife, Lexie Davis Buchanan of Philipp; one daughter, Kris Kennington of Duck Hill; one son, Wyatt Buchanan of Philipp; his parents, Robert and Winnie Buchanan of Philipp; one sister, Marla Davis of Philipp; and one brother, Robert Buchanan Jr. of Houston, Texas.

Audrey Moss Coats
   Audrey Moss Coats, 91, of Grenada, passed into eternal life Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Providence Assisted Living Center in Grenada. She was born on Feb. 2, 1923, in Grenada, to James D. Sr. and Myrtle Moss.
   Audrey enjoyed visiting with family and friends, playing cards, and traveling. She was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church. She and her husband, Ted, traveled and went on several mission trips to the southwest and Central America. She was a member of the Gideon’s Auxiliary and GLMC Pink Ladies.
   Visitation will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 5-7 p.m., at Garner Harper Funeral Home in Grenada. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 14, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
   She is survived by a son, Filo Coats (Gloria) of Grenada; a brother, Earl Moss (Doris) of Grenada; a  grandson, Dr. Robert B. Ellis III (Marcella); a granddaughter, Amanda MacDonald (Dan); great-granddaughters, Audrey, Adele, and Mattie Blair; numerous nieces and nephews; and her long-time friend, Billie Guy Smith.
   She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Ted Coats; her parents; brothers, J.D. Moss Jr. and Warner Moss; and  sisters, Velma Lott and Beulah Sigman.
   The family requests that memorials be made to Gideon’s International, P.O. Box 36, Grenada, MS 38902; or to Friendship Baptist Church, 475 Pearidge Road, Grenada, MS 38901.

David Lee Davidson
   Funeral services for David Lee Davidson, 81, of Carrollton, are at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Liberty Baptist Church in the Jefferson Community with Bro. Gary Tanner officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery at Jefferson.
   Visitation is Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church.
   David died Monday, March 10, 2014, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
   He was born on May 3, 1932, and was the son of the late Ernest David Davidson and Doshia Arlene Nichols Davidson of Webber, Kan.
   David was a retired school teacher. He taught school at Coahoma Community College in Clarksdale; State Tech on base in Memphis; Co-Lin College in Natchez; and Holmes Community College in Grenada. He was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, and the ATEA. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam War and the Korean Conflict. David retired as a Lieutenant  from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service.
   David is survived by his wife, Neva Elaine Ford Davidson of Carrollton; a sister, Wanda Farrand of Harvard, Neb.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Daryl Davidson and Charles Stacy Marter; four sisters, Betty Johanson, Opal Johanson, Ruby Davidson, and Darlene Davidson; and one brother, Jim Davidson.

Timothy Edward Jones

   Funeral services for Timothy “Tim” Edward Jones, 55, of , were at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014, at the National Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Brent Barker officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grenada.
   Visitation was Saturday, March 8, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at National Funeral Home.
   Tim died Friday, March 7, 2014, at his home.
   He was born on Dec. 2, 1958, and was the son of the late John Paul Jones and Ann Marie Sampson of Montgomery, Ala.
   Tim was employed by Safe Security as a salesman. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He served in the National Guard for six years.
   He is survived by his wife, Robin Mixon Jones of Grenada; two daughters, Kimberly Parker of Grenada and Ginger Ann Jones of Greenwood; one son, Jonathan Paul Jones of Batesville; one sister, Dorothy Ann Baker of Indianola; and one grandson, John Braxton Jones.

Dorothy Colston Stuvee
   Dorothy Colston Stuvee, 90, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Mitchell Center in Tupelo. She was born in Waterford, Miss., to Walker and Lucille Henderson Colston on Dec. 22, 1923. She was a long time resident of Duck Hill, until she moved to Tupelo last November.
   She was a wise and loving friend and “aunt” to all who knew her. She was a gifted seamstress who could create an entire outfit in one night, and was always ready to hem a pair of pants.  She loved to do for others and “served the Lord with gladness” through her church, Duck Hill Baptist Church. She was quick to help anyone in her reach, and if out of reach, she prayed.
   Services were held on Tuesday, March 11, at 11:30 a.m., at Duck Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. George Steward officiating. Visitation was held prior to the service from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Duck Hill Cemetery.
   Survivors include her daughters, Susie (Greg) Morgan of Tupelo and Orinette Warren of Jackson; a step-son, Jim (Sharon) Stuvee of Duck Hill; her grandchildren, Noel Morgan, Eric Morgan, Tracy (Randy) Blair, Gena’ Canton, Rene’ (Tyler) Bishoff, James (Jen) Stuvee; and a great-granddaughter, Madeline. She is also survived by her sister, Gladys Lancaster, and numerous nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Julia and Golie; and her husband, Henry Stuvee.
   Pallbearers were Gary Kirk, Billy Woods, Bubba Vance, Cris Rawson, Bruce Robinson, Butch Ward, Devo Lancaster, Danny Lancaster and Larry Beard.
   In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Duck Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, 301 Main Street, Duck Hill, MS 38925.
