Tournament fishing at Grenada Lake is about to get hectic.
Beginning this Saturday for four consecutive weeks, a crappie tournament will be taking place on the lake.
The biggest of the three will be Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters State Championships March 21-22.
Deadline is today. Entry fee is $300 per team. You can register online at crappiemasters.net. There will be a $10 fee for big fish and a $25 late fee to take part in the tournament.
A seminar and registration will be March 20 at Holmes Community College. Registration is at 5 p.m. followed by the seminar at 6:30 p.m.
Fishing hours will be from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. both days. Anglers must be in the weigh-in line by 4:30 p.m. both days. It will take place at Grenada Landing.
MS Crappie.com has a tournament Saturday at the lake. Weigh-in is at 3 p.m. , also at Grenada Landing.
The Magnolia Crappie Club will have the Big Mama Open Saturday, March 15 at Grenada Lake.
The event is an Open Tournament with no membership required. Teams will be comprised of two anglers along with one child high school age or under.
Entry fee for the tournament is $100 per boat. There needs to be a minimum 30 boats for a third prize to be given away.
First place for the tournament will be $1,500. Second place will be $500 and third place is set for $400.

The final tournament of the month takes place March 28 and is sponsored by the Holmes Community College Health, Physical Education, and Recreation Department and Phi Theta Kappa.
This tournament will be a Divisional Tournament with a College/University Division and an Open Division.
Pre-registration fee of $100 per team is due before March 10. After the deadline, the cost will be $150. Holmes CC administrators, instructors, and staff are free.
