Herman Lee Allen
Funeral services for Herman Lee Allen, 58, of Grenada, formerly of Gore Springs, are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at New Birth M.B. Church. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Allen died Feb. 26, 2014, at his home of natural causes.
He was born on April 30, 1955.
Mr. Allen was a Baptist.
He is survived by a daughter, Mesha Reed of Grenada; two sisters, Dorothy Mays of Gore Springs and Joyce Allen of Grenada; five brothers, Jessie Allen Jr. and Billy Wayne Allen, both of Grenada, Robert Earl Allen of Gore Springs, Jimmy Allen of Calhoun City and Robert Kelane Allen of Indianapolis; and two grandchildren.

Thomas Nealon Costilow
Funeral services for Thomas Nealon Costilow, 67, of Grenada, are at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at the National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Bro Frank Samples will officiate the service with Josh Costilow, Gary Costilow, J. R. Hollis, Art Blake, Sam Morgan, and Tyler Holliman serving as pallbearers.
Visitation was Monday, March 3, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at National Funeral Home.
Nealon died Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Grace Health and Rehab.
He was born on March 31, 1946, and was the son of the late Paris Costilow and Loraine Law Costilow of Grenada.
Nealon was self-employed as a contractor. When he was able, he attended the Church of God.
He is survived by two daughters, Amy Melton and Tracy Kiihnl (Wesley), both of Grenada; one sister, Diane McClellan (Bruce) of Alexandria, La.; two brothers, Jerry Costilow (Bonnie) and Gene Costilow (Frances), both of Grenada; four grandchildren, Whitney, Briana, Kaylee, and Khloe; and one great-grandchild, Noah.
Nealon was preceded in death by two brothers, Sydney Costilow and Charles Costilow.

Clint T. Powell
Funeral services for Clint T. “Lil’ Buddy” Powell, 46, of Grenada, are at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at First New Hope M.B. Church. Burial will follow in Haven Rest Cemetery.
Mr. Powell died Feb. 27, 2014, at UMMC-Grenada of a heart attack.
He was born on Nov. 18, 1967, to Ella Mae Powell and the late Clint Hall.
Mr. Powell was a member of First New Hope M.B. Church, and he enjoyed singing with The Legendary Drifters Gospel group. He liked playing Dominoes, basketball and ministering to his family and friends. Mr. Powell worked for Molded Fiber Technology in Clinton, Iowa.
He is survived by two daughters, Candice Topps of Grenada and Trevonia A. Powell of Erie, Pa.; two sons, Desmond Topps of Knoxville, Tenn., and Trevon Powell of Erie; 11 sisters, Rosie Brown, Yvonne Harris, Belinda Bell, Monica Matthews, Gloria Jones and Regina Booker, all of Grenada, Earsie Mays of Charleston, Karen Powell Kamisso of Memphis, Ernestine Bland and Lorraine Hall, both of Atlanta, Doris Powell of New London, Conn.; and four brothers, Ernest Powell, Willie Powell, Greg Hall and R.C. Hall, all of Grenada.
