A convenience store clerk was robbed at gunpoint and forced from the store early Thursday, according Grenada police.
According to Capt. George Douglas, police received a call at approximately 3:20 a.m., that a young black male, of small build, entered the Kangaroo station on Highway 51 south, brandished a small caliber handgun and demanded money.
According to a police report, the male, who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, entered the store, pulled a pistol, then told the clerk to empty the register and the safe.
The clerk gave the suspect less than $200, Douglas said.
The suspect then forced the clerk out of the store, and walked north with him at gunpoint, according to the report.
