One of the men facing a capital murder charge in connection with the death of Grenada Police Capt. John Wayne Haddock has been cleared for trial.
That does not mean, though, he will be tried soon.
Kyle David Wendt aka Ryan Dunne, 24, is believed to have been driving the vehicle that struck Haddock, 50, as he attempted to lay spikes across Highway 8 West to stop a high-speed chase, on Oct.  7, 2011.
Also facing a capital murder charge is Thomas Leland Lee, about 44, of West Monroe, La. Wendt is from Colorado Springs, Colo.
According to a Grenada County Circuit Court order filed Wednesday, Wendt was  examined by Dr. R.M. Storer, PhD, a clinical and forensic psychologist at the Mississippi State Hospital in Whitfield.
