ONE MORE TIME
A Comment By Joe Lee III

The national media is all upset with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie over the closing of a couple of lanes of a bridge.
  • Imagine what a snit the national media would be in if he were president and withheld assistance, allowing a U.S. ambassador and three others to get killed by terrorists.
  • Imagine what a snit the national media would be in if he were president and had still done nothing about the ambassador’s death a year later.
  • Imagine what a snit the national media would be in if he were president, lied, and told people they could keep their present health insurance, if they liked it.
  • Imagine what a snit the national media would be in if he were president,  lied, and told people they could keep their present doctor, if so desired.
  • Imagine what a snit the national media would be in if he were president and allowed the NSA to spy on all American citizens.
  • Imagine what a snit the national media would be in if he were president and allowed the gap between rich and poor to grow faster than any other president.
  • Imagine what a snit the national media would be in if he were president and allowed the national debt to nearly double to $16 trillion.
Back on planet Earth: Imagine how little we would hear about this from the national media if he were a Democrat.
I don’t mind Republicans being held to a higher standard, but why must the standard for Democrats always be so low?
A reader who told me he was tired of frequently reading about cats, sent in the following article -- the original author is unknown:
  • My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day.
  • He has his food prepared for him.
  • He can eat whenever he wants.
  • His meals are provided at no cost to him.
  • He visits the doctor once a year for his check-up, and again during the year if any medical needs arise. For this he pays nothing and nothing is required of him.
  • He lives in a nice neighborhood, in a house that is much larger than he needs, but he is not required to do any upkeep.  He makes no contribution to the running or maintenance of the house.
  • If he makes a mess, someone else cleans it up.
  • He has his choice of luxurious places to sleep.
  • He receives these accommodations absolutely free.
  • He is living like a king, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever.
  • All of his costs are picked up by others who go out, work hard and earn a living every day.
I was just thinking about all this and suddenly it hit me like a brick in the head.
I think my dog might be a senator!
