Eric T. Black
   Funeral services for Eric T. Black, 34, of Grenada, are at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Battle Temple COGIC. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Holcomb.
   Visitation is Friday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Eddie Robinson Funeral Home.
   Mr. Black died Dec. 20, 2013, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital of natural causes.
   He was born on July 22, 1979.
   Mr. Black was a color guard and band instructor in Hattiesburg and a member of the COGIC.

Edith Fowler
   Funeral services for Edith “Tenna” Fowler, 87, of Charleston, are at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at Newsom Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Burial will follow in Magnolia Garden.
   Visitation is Friday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
   Ms. Fowler died Dec. 22, 2013, in Charleston.
   She was a member of Paynes Baptist Church in Charleston, and she was a retired school bus driver for Tallahatchie County Schools.
   Ms. Fowler was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Ada Thomas.
   She is survived by a daughter, Patsy Fowler of Lambert; a son, Paul Fowler of Batesville; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
   Newsom Funeral Home is in charge.

Edna Caldwell Morgan
   Funeral services for Edna Caldwell Morgan, 66, of Water Valley, were at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, at Everdale Church in Water Valley. Burial followed in the Green Goshen Cemetery in Yalobusha County.
   Mrs. Morgan died Dec. 23, 2013, at her home.
   She was born on April 30, 1947, in Coffeeville, to Rogers and Lola Harris Caldwell.
   Mrs. Morgan was a homemaker and a member of Green Goshen C.M.E. Church in Yalobusha County. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.
   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Morgan.
   Mrs. Morgan is survived by three daughters, Melba Stokes and Barbara Mayes, both of Water Valley and Tisha Morgan of Las Vegas; five sons, Jeffrey Mayes, Rogers Mayes, Bobby Mayes, Kenneth Mayes, and Estes Caldwell, all of Water Valley; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a host of in-laws and friends.
   Seven Oaks Funeral home was in charge.

Robbie Pettit
   Graveside services for Robbie Pettit, 49, of Winona, are at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in Winona.
   Visitation is Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona.
   Mr. Pettit died Dec. 21, 2013, at University Medical Center in Jackson.
   He worked in construction and was a Baptist.
   Mr. Pettit is survived by a daughter, Morgan Taylor Pettit of Winona; his parents, James and Lynnette Pettit of Lebanon, Ohio; his fiancé, Tammy Vaughn of Winona; and two sisters, Angie Hannahs of Lebanon and Lori Pettit of West Milton, Ohio.

Amari S. Samuels
   Graveside services for Amari S. Samuels, 17 months, of Grenada, were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, at Pine Hill Cemetery.
   Amari died Dec. 18, 2013, at UMC in Jackson of natural causes.
   He was born on June 28, 2012.
   Eddie Robinson Funeral Home was in charge.

Maurine Winters
   Funeral services for Maurine Winters, 87, of Charleston, were at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, at Adams Arbor Church of God of Prophecy. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
   Mrs. Winters died Dec. 22, 2013, in Charleston.
   She was a retired seamstress for Rosewood MFG and a member of Adams Arbor Church of God of Prophecy.
   Mrs. Winters was preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Pete” Winters.
   She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Hale of Grenada; three sons, Billy Wayne Winters of Batesville, Roger Winters of Charleston and Albert G. Winters of Henderson, Ky.; two sisters, Helen Manley and Bonnie Edwards, both of Greenville; two brothers, Grady Osbarn of Charleston and Marvin Osbarn of Crenshaw; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
   Memorials may be made to Adams Arbor Church of God of Prophecy.
   Newsom Funeral Home was in charge.
