Last season, the Grenada Chargers were a game away from making the Class 6A State Tournament. Coach Jaworski Rankin’s crew complied a 17-12 mark.
A year later, expectations are even greater for GHS. They return several key players from that squad along with the return of 6-11 senior Joniah White. That has the Chargers being considered among the best in the state this season.
“We feel like this team has a chance to have a really good season,” Coach Jaworski said. “Our guys are excited about the season and have bought into our team concept that we need to be successful.”
The competition in the North 6A will be as solid as normal. Tupelo, Murrah, and Madison Central are among the teams that will be competing for the two spots in the Class 6A Tournament at the Mississippi Coliseum this season.
