Grenada firefighters responded to what a press release describes as a fairly minor house fire Friday.
According to the release, Grenada’s Shift B answered a call on the 800 block of Cherry St. at 12:18 p.m.
The first units on the scene reported smoke issuing from the eaves of the house.
Firefighters made entry through the front door and extinguished the only items burning, which were a bed and a pile of clothes, the press release said.
Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control and cleared the scene at 1 p.m., the release said. No one was injured.
“No further information is available at this time,” said Public Relations Officer Paul Reese.
