A two-car accident Saturday in Holcomb critically injured four people and sent two more to Grenada Lake Medical Center.
According to Public Relations Officer Tony Dunn with the Mississippi Highway Patrol, a woman he identified as Valerie Gary, 36, of Holcomb, was driving south on Highway 7 and attempted to make left turn onto Tuscohoma Church Road. Her vehicle, which was carrying four passengers, was struck by a vehicle driving north. Dunn identified the driver of the second vehicle as  Laurance Chandler of Swiftwon.
Chandler’s vehicle collided with Gray’s on the passenger side door, Dunn said.
Four people were airlifted from the scene, including a six-year-old and a five-year-old from Gary’s vehicle. They were flown to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis with critical injuries, according to Dunn.
