Like any coach, Kirk head man John McCrory wants to win games. It just makes life easier.
Heading into his first season, he knew the job of rebuilding the Raider football program would take some time.
Early in the season, it looked like it would take more time than he thought. That thinking has seen some change with the improved play down the stretch by the Raiders.
With two games left against the top teams in District 1-AA, McCrory would like to see that improvement continue. He does know that his team has two solid football teams left to play. Tonight, they host Indianola and next week close the season at Clarksdale Lee.
“No question, these last two teams will be the best ones in our league,” McCrory said. “We have made some positive steps to get better over the past several games. The last 3-4 weeks we have played much harder. Our guys have gained some confidence. Hopefully, that trend will continue the final two weeks of the season.”
