Grenada’s new recycling business will receive a large, federal grant to grow its operation.
Energyzmart, located in the old Memphis Hardwood Flooring building on South Street, will receive $185,000 to purchase new equipment and promote recycling and green living in the Lake City.
The grant is from the USDA Rural Business Enterprise Program.
“Receiving this grant demonstrates to lenders and investors that not only is there sweat equity involved in what we’re doing but other people and entities are taking note as well,” said Energyzmart founder R.B. Jones.
