Grenada postal workers need the help of residents along their routes to combat hunger.
On Saturday, May 11, Grenadians are invited to leave non-perishable food at their mailboxes. The mail carriers will pick up the food and make sure it gets to the Grenada Food Pantry.
The one day event is the nation’s largest single-day food drive across the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands.
“The Post Office is always on time,” said Jan Willis, co-director of the Grenada Food Pantry. “God works this way with the food pantry. When we have our greatest need, God provides for us from places like the Post Office.”
