John Wesley Banks
   Funeral services for John Wesley Banks, 78, of Grenada, are at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, at National Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Childers officiating. A private family burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Grenada.     
   Pallbearers will be David James, Joe Frazier, Larry Vance, Bill Bailey, Jacob Banks, Taylor Banks, David Braswell, and Jay Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Breland, Dynamite Kirk, Charles Breland and Buddy Pender.
   Visitation is Wednesday, April 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at  National Funeral Home Chapel.
   Mr. Banks died Monday, April 1, 2013, at his home.
   He was born on Oct. 31, 1934, and was the son of Wrennie T. Banks and Katie St. John Banks of Blytheville, Ark.
   John was the owner of Grenada Paper Company which he started in 1984. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1973 at the rank of lieutenant after serving 20 plus years. John was an avid golf player and an avid Ole Miss fan. He was fun loving and enjoyed life to the fullest.
   Mr. Banks is survived by his wife, Rose Childers Banks of Grenada; one daughter, Cassie Veazey and her husband, Larry, of Grenada; one son, Wes Banks and his wife, Leslie, of Grenada; two sisters, Carolyn Crump and her husband, Paul, of Blytheville, Ark., and Mary Payne of Bono, Ark.; and three grandchildren, Jacob Banks, Taylor Banks and Morgan Banks.
   National Funeral Home is in charge.

James Thomas Redwine

   James Thomas “Tommy” Redwine, 67, of Coffeeville, died Monday, April 1, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.  He was born on March 11, 1946, in Calhoun County to Lewis, Sr. and Vera Winters Redwine. He was a retired truck driver and also served in the U.S. Army in Berlin
   Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, at Garner Harper Funeral Home in Coffeeville, from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 4, at New Hope Baptist Church in Coffeeville at 10:30 a.m. with Bro. Truman Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery.
   Survivors include two sons, Slade Redwine and Dereck Redwine, both of Coffeeville; three brothers, Lewis Redwine Jr. and Billy Redwine of Coffeeville and Edward Earl Redwine of Carrollton; one sister, Lucy Wright of Coffeeville. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Abby, Riley, Andy, and Jack Redwine, all of Coffeeville.
   He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cornelius Redwine.
   Garner Harper Funeral Home is in charge.
