Gail W. Brannon
   Funeral services for Gail W. Brannon, 58, of Grenada, are at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery north of Grenada.
   Visitation is Sunday, March 10, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
   Gail died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Providence Assisted Living Center in Grenada. She was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Williams.
   She was born on June 22, 1954,  and was the daughter of John Henry and Helen Kea Williams of Canton, Miss.
   Gail was employed by Grenada School district as a teacher.  She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.  
   Gail is survived by her husband of 32 years, William Brannon of Grenada; her mother, Helen K. Williams of Pearl, Miss.; two sisters; Peggy Norton of Kodak, Tenn., and Linda Sutherland of Pearl, Miss.
   Bro. Brent Barker and Bro, Eugene Heimbach will be officiating the services with Robert Hough, Paul Griffin, Mark Ward, Calvin Miller, Jr., Trea Sutherland and Ricky Norton serving as pallbearers.
   National Funeral Home is in charge.

Greek L. Cunningham Jr.

   Greek L. Cunningham Jr., “G. L.,” 90, of Grenada, died Monday, March 4, 2013, at Grenada Living Center.
   He was born March 16, 1922, in Grenada County to Greek L. Cunningham Sr. and Fannie Sellers Cunningham.
   He was a retired barber/stylist and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was also a long time member of the Grenada Civitan Club, Zero Hunting Club and the Gideon Society. He was a 25-year Rotarian and past president of the Mississippi Barbers Association. Mr. Cunningham was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Destroyer Squadron 48 Navy Veterans Association. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II.
   Visitation is Thursday, March 7, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada from 1 to 3 p.m. Funeral services will follow at Emmanuel Baptist Church at 3 p.m. with Dr. Brent Barker and Bro. Phillip Cook officiating. Interment is in Bethel Cemetery in Oxberry.
   Survivors include two daughters, Melba Cunningham Detlefsen (Bill) of Eugene, Ore., and Beth Cunningham Kelch (Marvin) of Sugarland, La.; one son, Wayne Taylor (Pat) of Grenada; two sisters, Angeline Brewer of Florence, Ala., and Vivijean Dewberry of Collierville, Tenn.; and one brother, Joe Edgar Cunningham of Fritch, Texas. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Taylor Cunningham; his parents, Greek L. Cunningham Sr. and Fannie Sellers Cunningham; three sisters, Eunice Priscilla Cunningham, Josephine Mims and Clyde Murphy; and two brothers, Archie Cunningham and James Cunningham.
   The family requests that memorials be made to Bethel Baptist Church-Oxberry Cemetery Fund, c/o Lynda Lee, 307 Delta Wing Rd., Holcomb, MS 38940.
   Garner Harper Funeral Home is in charge.

Gilbert Lee Floyd

   Funeral services for Gilbert Lee Floyd Sr., 86, of Grenada, are at 2 p.m. Friday, March 8, at National Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Grenada Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
   Visitation is Friday from noon until service time at National Funeral Home Chapel.
   Mr. Floyd died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at the Greenwood-Leflore Hospital.
   He was born on Nov.  17, 1926, and was the son of Clarence and Fannie Whittemore Floyd of Grenada.
   Gilbert was employed by Jack Eaton Meats as a salesman.  He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada.  Gilbert was also a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II.  He was a member of the VFW Post 4488.
   Mr. Floyd is survived by his wife, Alice Floyd of Grenada; one daughter, Kim Taylor of Grenada; three sons, Randy Floyd of Gore Springs, Gilbert Lee “Skip” Floyd Jr. of Tunica and Don Floyd of Fort Myers, Fla.; one sister, Helen Burney of Coffeeville; two brothers, Bill Floyd and Joe Floyd, both of Greenwood; two grandchildren, Drake McCammon and Graham Floyd; and one great-granddaughter, Kairi McCammon.
   National Funeral Home is in charge.
