A briefing about car owners in violation of state tag laws as well as voting on an application for an economic development grant topped the agenda of the Grenada County Board of Supervisors on Thursday.
Tax Assessor David Melton said he’s learned that as many as 100 Grenadians don’t have their cars tagged in the appropriate place, and they could face stiff penalties.
For example, Melton said, a number of people who live in the city have their cars tagged in the county.
“They do it to avoid paying city taxes,” said Melton.
