Plans are in the works for a new privately-owned sports and convention facility in Grenada.
According to a press release from the owners of the property, the Grenada Event Center and Sports Complex will open this summer.
The facility, to be built at 4461 Commerce St., will provide more than 22,000-square-feet of space for meetings, parties, indoor sports practice and other recreational activities.
“People and organizations in Grenada want better meeting spaces for birthdays, weddings, family reunions, corporate meetings and other important community events,”’ said Josh Mattox, one of the investors in the project. He and his wife, Marie, own the property and the business.
