Mary Elizabeth Geesler
Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Geesler, 88, of Grenada, are at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Vicksburg. Monsignor Patrick Farrell will be officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday, Jan. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m., with Christian Wake Service at 6 o’clock at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home in Vicksburg.
Miss Geesler died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at the home of Dan and Rosa Buzzarde in Grenada.
She was a native of Vicksburg and worked for South Central Bell (later AT&T) for over 33 years.
Miss Geesler was preceded in death by her father, William Adolph Geesler Sr.; her mother, Mary O’Connell Geesler; and two brothers, William Adolph Geesler Jr. and Harry V. Geesler.
Survivors include a cousin, Rosa Messina Buzzarde of Grenada; and numerous friends and family members.
Pallbearers will be John Verdino, Kenny Roberts, and Patrick Mardis. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Dicks and Dan Buzzarde.
Caretakers for Mary Geesler were Ellen Jackson and Patricia Garcia.
Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge.
Melvin Luke Kunefke
Funeral services for Melvin Luke Kunefke, 47, of Gore Springs, are at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan., 18, at National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Gore Springs.
Visitation is Friday from noon to 2 p.m. at National Funeral Home.
Melvin died Jan. 15, 2013, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford.
He was born on Mar. 24, 1965, and was the son of Melvin Paul Kunefke and Caroline Gant Kunefke.
Melvin was a grocery store manager and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Candice Louise Kunefke; and one brother, Timothy Paul Kunefke.
Melvin is survived by two sons, Luke Paul Kunefke (Mary Grace) of Harrisonburg, Va., and Dustin Cole Kunefke of Fort Worth, Texas; his parents, Melvin and Caroline Kunefke of Gore Springs; three brothers, Raymond David Kunefke (Barbara Gail) of Amarillo, Texas, William Douglas Kunefke (Stephanie S.) of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Larry Dean Kunefke of Tillatoba; and one granddaughter, Gracelynne Kaye Kunefke.
National Funeral Home is in charge.
