Amanda Smith Abel
   Amanda Smith Abel, 36, homemaker, was born Nov. 16, 1976, in Flowood, Miss., and passed away Jan. 11, 2013, at her home. She was a Christian.  
   Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Kevin Abel; one son, Kade Abel; one daughter, Sophia Abel; her parents, Ron and Marie Smith, all of Southaven; and her grandmothers, Lena Galloway of Southaven and Nell Smith of Oakland, Miss.  
   Visitation is Monday, Jan. 14, from 6-8 p.m. at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven. Services will be Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 2 p.m., at the funeral home with burial in Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Southaven.  
   The family requests that any memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
   Twin Oaks Funeral Home is in charge.

Eugene Hill
   Graveside services for Eugene Hill, 61, of Grenada, are at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Hebron Cemetery in Grenada.
   Visitation is Monday, Jan. 14, from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., at National Funeral Home.
   Eugene died Jan. 11, 2013, at his home.
   He was born on Sept. 11, 1951, and was the son of Chester Lee Hill and Mary Carroll Hill of Grenada.
   Eugene was a self-employed mechanic and enjoyed fishing.
   Mr. Hill is survived by his mother, Mary Hill; three sisters, Linda Cunningham, Rhonda Langham, and Debbie Sue Milton; and one brother, Larry Hill, all of Grenada.
   National Funeral Home is in charge.

Randell Jack Hood
   A memorial service for Randell Jack Hood, 53, of Germany, is at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at the National Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keith Harris officiating.
   Visitation is Saturday, Jan. 19, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at National Funeral Home.
   Randell died Jan. 3, 2013, in Germany.
   He was born on July 30, 1959, and was the son of William Jack Hood and Opal Laverne Britt Hood of Grenada.
   Randell joined the U.S. Army when he was 16 years old and served until his retirement at the rank of Staff Sergeant.  
   Mr. Hood is survived by his wife, Rosi Hood; two daughters, Jessice Hood Murphy and Angelina Hood; and one son, Benjamin Joshua Hood, all of Germany; two sisters, Mary Lou Hood Morman of Duck Hill and Kimberly Darlene Hood Boyette of Senatobia; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
   In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
   National Funeral Home is in charge.

Sarah Blaylock Lancaster
   Funeral services for Sarah Blaylock Lancaster, 83, of Grenada, are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Carroll County.
   Visitation is Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 9 to 11 a.m., at National Funeral Home.
   Mrs. Lancaster died January 13, 2013 at her home in Carroll County.
   She was born on June 27, 1929, and was the daughter of Falcon Blaylock and Inez Ezell Blaylock of Carroll County.
   Sarah was a retired beautician and a homemaker. She was a member of Lakewood Independent Methodist Church in Grenada where she was the church organist for many years.  
   She was preceded in death by her parents, Falcon and Inez Blaylock; her husband, James Floyd Lancaster; one sister, Ellen Williamson; and one brother, James Blaylock.
   Mrs. Lancaster is survived by one daughter, Sherry Jean Watson of Leesburg, Fla.; two sons, Cayce Shannon Lancaster and James Dwight Lancaster, both of Grenada; one sister, Peggy Williamson of Elliott; and 2 grandchildren.
   National Funeral Home is in charge.

Patsy Whitworth Stoker
   Funeral services for Patsy Whitworth Stoker of Winona will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Winona, with burial to follow in the New Gauley Cemetery near Calhoun City. The Rev. Ed McDaniel and The Rev. Kenneth Armstrong will officiate the services.
   Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 15, from 11 a.m. until service time, at Oliver Funeral Home.
   Mrs. Stoker died of heart failure at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona on Friday, Jan. 11. She was 75 years old.
   Mrs. Stoker was the daughter of the late John Ivan and Clydene Parker Whitworth. She was a homemaker and loved everyone. She was a member of North Winona Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. Mrs. Stoker was also preceded in death by her sister, Lynn Robinson; and a brother, Parker Whitworth.
   Survivors include her husband, Wendell Stoker of Winona; three daughters, Vicki Barton Collins, Sherri Brisendine, and Wendy Rushing, all of Winona; one son, Marty Barton of Winona; one brother, Tony Whitworth of Walls; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
   Memorial contributions may be made to New Gauley Cemetery Fund, 158 CR 309, Calhoun City, MS 38916.
