Martha Jane King
Martha Jane King, 86, of Grenada, born July 17, 1926, in Carroll County, to parents, David and Margaret Etta Costilow Little, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013. She was of the Church of Christ faith. She will be remembered for her giving nature and genuine compassion. She was loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Melvin Lloyd King and Theo Bill Wright; her son, Robert A. King; and her brothers, Leslie Little, Bobby Little, and Tillman Little.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Kathy King Temple of Sherwood, Ark., and her grandchildren, Tiffany McDonald of Cleburne, Texas, Jeremy McDonald of Lago Vista, Texas, Corby King of Florida, and Josh King of Oxford. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn King of Florida and Alexis and Brandon King of Oxford; and her sister, Burtine Little of Grenada.
A celebration of life services will be held for family and friends in her honor at a later date and time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association/Alzheimers.

Kathleen Brown Mitchell
Kathleen Brown Mitchell, 92, of Grenada died Jan. 6, 2013. She was born Feb. 1, 1920, in Grenada, to Solan and Susie Covington Brown.
She was a member of Rosebloom Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Rex Brown; and three sisters, Hazel Turpin, Ruth Epperson and Trixie Mitchell.
She is survived by her husband, Ben Mitchell; two sons, F.B. Mitchell Jr. of Chafin, S.C., and Tommy Mitchell of Lambert, Miss.; two daughters, Betty Huffman and Faye Burdine of Grenada; three grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 from 1-2 pm. at Garner-Harper Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at Garner-Harper Chapel. Interment will follow in Oddfellow Cemetery in Grenada.
Garner-Harper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Steven Joseph Vickers
Funeral services for Steven Joseph Vickers, 51, of Grenada, are at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at the Grenada Church of God. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Grenada.
Visitation was Monday, Jan. 7, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at National Funeral Home.
Steven died Jan. 1, 2013, at his home.
He was born on Mar. 31, 1961, and was the son of Sam Hilliard Vickers and Mary Virginia Hodges Vickers.
Steven was employed by Penske as a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Vickers.
Mr. Vickers is survived by his daughter, Chasity Vickers of Grenada; his son, Eric Vickers of Gainesville, Fla.; his father and step-mother, Sam Hilliard Vickers and Mary E. Vickers of Alvin, Texas; one sister, Vicky Clark (Jimmy) of Greenwood; one brother, Chris Vickers (Donna) of Grenada; and one granddaughter, Kerstin Vickers of Grenada.
National Funeral Home is in charge.
