   Patience is a quality that Kik Academy girls basketball coach Amy Carroll Hudspeth is working hard to get her girls to improve.
   That patience turned out to almost cost Kirk.
   Tuesday, the Raiderettes hosted North Delta in the District 1-AA opener at Grenada. The game was close throughout with no one leading by more than five points the whole night.
   Kirk had a three-point lead late in regulation only to see North Delta rally to send the game to overtime. In the extra period, the Raiderettes managed a five-point advantage. North Delta used a three-pointer in the final seconds to make the final score 43-41.
