Coming off a holiday break, Kirk coach Amy Carroll Hudspeth thought there wouldn’t be much rust if any. The Raiderettes went through some intense practice during the break.
That rust was still there as Kirk missed several scoring chances particularly in the opening half against Magnolia Heights Tuesday night.
In the end, the Raiderettes used a 21-3 run late to come away with a 48-29 win over the Lady Chiefs. With the win, Kirk improves to 9-2 on the season.
