Grenada High School will have their commencement ceremonies for 188 seniors tomorrow night.

Beginning at 7:30 p.m., at Charger Stadium, the ceremony will mark the final time Grenada School Superintendent Buddy Pender calls out the names of those graduating. For three decades, Pender has served as superintendent. The guest speaker for the ceremony will be U.S. Senator Trent Lott.

Fair Pender is valedictorian of the class and Meg Logan is salutatorian, both had the two highest averages in the class with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Pender

Pender finished her high school career with a 4.0 (102.04) GPA.

She is the daughter of Buddy and Anne Pender. While in high school, Pender was given the Father Joseph Rowland Award - the award is given to the athlete with the highest academic average.

She plans to attend the University of Mississippi as a student in the Ole Miss School of Pharmacy.

Logan

Logan also completed her high school career with a 4.0 (101.8) GPA.

Logan is the daughter of Ben and Jeannie Logan. Her honors and activities include soccer, National Honor Society, band, Anchor Club, and Delta Scholar. Logan plans to become a dentist while attending the University of Mississippi majoring in biology.
