Two of the district's schools, Grenada Elementary and Grenada Upper Elementary, are now rated by the state as Level 5 - or superior - by the state. Grenada High School and Grenada Middle School are both rated as Level 4, or exemplary schools, by the state. "Thanks to the hard work of our students, teachers, administrators and board members, more students than ever before are being prepared with skills and knowledge essential to their future success in our society," said Dr. Bettye Nelly, administrative assistant. Superintendent Dr. David Daigneault also welcomed the good news. "We are pleased to acknowledge that Grenada High and Grenada Middle School have been designated as exemplary Level 4 schools, and Grenada Elementary and Grenada Upper Elementary have been identified as superior Level 5 schools," he said. Dr. Daigneault said the schools will continue to work hard. "While movement from year to year is worth noting and analyzing, the true test of sustainable academic achievement is steady gains over multiple years. Although our test scores were exemplary and indicated improvement in every section, GSD plans to focus upon specific objectives to optimize the educational process for Grenada students." |
