The Grenada City Council’s regularly scheduled monthly meeting was moved up a few days to accommodate some councilmen attending a conference in Washington D.C. next week.
Grenada City Council conducted their monthly meeting yesterday (March 9), rescheduling due to five city officials attending the National League of Cities.
Ward Two City Councilman Fredreick “Pete” Wilson, along with Ward Three Councilman Lewis Johnson, Ward Five Councilman Joshua Hughes, City Manager Trey Baker and City Engineer Robert Willis, will attend the biannual conference at the Marriott Wardman Park starting March 11.
Attending the 2017 National League of Cities Congressional City Conference serves as a way for municipalities across the nation to gain insight on funding opportunities, and meet with their federal representatives, according to the NLC website.
