GUES named ‘healthy school’

    Grenada Upper Elementary School (grades 4-5) has been recognized as the healthiest school in the state.
Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation recently announced GUES as one of the winners of the third annual Healthy School Awards at the 2017 Mississippi Association of School Superintendents/Alliance Winter Conference.

Grenada Upper Elementary School, taking the honor as “The Healthiest School in Mississippi” receives $50,000 to enhance its wellness programs.

Other top schools include Columbia Elementary School and Pass Christian Elementary School, both receiving Healthy School Awards. These schools will each receive $25,000 for their respective wellness programs.
