Murder charge dismissed

A Grenada man was released from custody after a Justice Court Judge did not see enough evidence to charge him with murder.
After making his initial appearance in Grenada County Justice Court Thursday, Ricky McNeer’s charge of murder in connection with the death of Robert Little, was dismissed by the Justice Court Judge Jimmy Tallant.
“Judge Tallant found no probable cause to support the murder charge,” said County Prosecuting Attorney Adam Kirk.
According to the sheriff’s department, the case was dismissed due to the lack of investigative reports from the Mississippi State Crime Lab, which are still pending.
Kirk said, however, the case will likely be heard through the higher court process.
