The Grenada School Board accepted a letter of congratulations for high achievement on Monday.
The district received the Lantern Award from the Mississippi School Boards Association in recognition of its academic accomplishments.
In order to qualify for the award, a district must have received at least a B on its evaluation for standardized tests, and no school may rank lower than successful.
