The Grenada Tourism Commissionappointed a new executive director during a special called meeting Monday, but controversy abounds about alleged lack of parliamentary procedure in its dealings.
Samantha Hilmus will replace former director Sandy Smith, who was fired lastmonth by a secret ballot vote, which sources said was 3 to 2. Smith served in the post for less than a year.

Board member Cheryl Stevens made the motion to close the regular meeting and consider entering executive session, seconded by Jim Legge. Stevens then made the motion to enter executive session, seconded by Legge.
